What Is The Expanded Core Curriculum?
Educators define core curriculum as the knowledge and skills a student should learn by high school graduation. This foundation, for almost all learning, is generally related to academic subjects.
Most professionals firmly believe that visually impaired students need an expanded core curriculum that requires additional areas of learning. Experiences
and concepts casually and incidentally learned by sighted students must be systematically and sequentially taught to the visually impaired student.
